NOTE: You probably shouldn't print this unless you plan to make some changes to it!

This is a prototype cord-catcher attachment for the Ikea Observator wire basket. The idea is that you can put phones or similar electronic devices inside without worrying about the phone getting pulled out by the wire or just slowly sliding out. Helpful if you do mobile development and have a lot of phones!

This is, however, an early revision! As you can see in the photo, it doesn't quite line up; I guess I mismeasured. I recommend pushing the braces about 5mm further out. I haven't tested that, though! Maybe you should test it. I should've.

It also has the issue that, even once the opposing grips are clipped around the wire, it can be pivoted upwards. I'm not really sure how to fix that.

It also has the issue that it fits a Prusa MK3 print bed. This is a problem because it really need to be, like, 280mm long. I didn't do that, and then I also didn't clean up the ends. It's pretty ugly.

This should be considered an experiment or inspiration; don't print this out expecting a polished final result. But if you do put some work into it to polish it, let me know!
