Overview:
Elevate your Ender 3 Pro 3D printer with this custom print model, a fusion of three designs crafted to enhance functionality. It boasts an X-axis tensioner featuring an integrated Raspberry Pi camera bracket, guaranteeing steady video quality by mitigating disruptive vibrations. Positioned strategically on the right side, it ensures both convenient placement and an ideal vantage point for precise print monitoring.
Moreover, I utilized a 1m (3.28ft) Raspberry Pi camera ribbon cable for this setup. However, it's worth noting that other lengths can be equally accommodated, offering flexibility to suit your specific requirements.
Additionally, this mount is compatible with the Micro Swiss NG Hot end and a custom cooling shroud, ensuring a seamless integration that won't interfere with the hot end's operation. This unique combination of features empowers you to achieve optimal printing performance with confidence.
If you would like to add LEDs to the mounted camera, please see “Pi Camera Mount with Dual Keychain LED Support”.
Intended Use: Ideal for makers and 3D printing enthusiasts looking to enhance their Ender 3 printer with a reliable camera mount for time-lapse recordings and/or remote monitoring.

Assembly Instructions:
1. Gather the Components:
- Ensure you have all the necessary components ready: X-Axis Tensioner with PiCam Mount, Raspberry Pi Camera, 1m (3.28ft) or preferred length of ribbon cable, screws, nuts, and any additional parts required for your specific setup.
2. Removing the Old/Current Tensioner:
- If your Ender 3 currently has a tensioner installed, carefully remove it to make way for the new X-Axis Tensioner. Unscrew any fasteners securing the old tensioner in place and gently detach it from the printer frame.
3. Attaching the Mount to the Ender 3:
- Carefully position the X-Axis Tensioner with the attached Pi Camera onto the Ender 3 3D printer. Align the mounting holes with the corresponding points on the printer frame.
4. Securing the Mount:
- Using the provided screws and nuts, fasten the X-Axis Tensioner securely in place. Ensure it is snug but not overly tightened to avoid unnecessary pressure on the frame.
5. Mounting the Pi Camera:
- Align the Raspberry Pi Camera with the designated bracket on the X-Axis Tensioner. Ensure the lens is facing outward and securely attach it using the provided screws.
6. Securing the Cable:
- Thread the Raspberry Pi camera ribbon cable through the designated channel on the mount. Take care not to strain the cable.
7. Connecting the Ribbon Cable:
- Gently insert the ribbon cable connector into the Raspberry Pi's camera port. Ensure it is properly seated and secure.
8. Adjusting the Camera Focus:
- Refer to your Raspberry Pi Camera's user manual or online resources for guidance on adjusting the focus, if needed.
9. Final Checks:
- Double-check all connections and ensure that everything is securely in place. Power on your Ender 3 and Raspberry Pi, and test the camera for functionality.
Printing Tips: For optimal results, use PLA or PETG filament. Print with a layer height of 0.2mm for a good balance of speed and detail.
