1/2" Hex Winch Drum

Designed for First Robotics Steamworks 2017 competition for FRC Team 5347 "The Gryphons".

It has been tested to hold 140lbs printed in PETG (see below for more details) with multiple uses. It on a 1/2" hex shaft, printed as is.

I printed it in PETG with 7 shells (.4mm nozzle) and hexagonal infill.

The file has already been adjusted for shrinkage of approx. 5%, so I wouldn't recommend changing the file if you're going to use this on a 1/2" hex shaft.

Post-Printing

It's lifting around 120lbs right now.
