Behold the greatest bucket handle to ever exist, made to spread the load over your fingers better than the stock handles. I made both a version that fits the common handle size on most 5 gallon buckets (see pic.), and another version that fits the bare wire as long as the diameter of the wire is below 4.5mm. I also made two attachment styles, one that uses 6x2 gridfinity magnets, 4x3 magnets (for the one that goes over stock), and one that gets glued permanently with alignment dowels, this allows you to reuse the magnetic ones, or switch between buckets! The versions that go over the original handle are printed vertically using integrated stabilizers that can be clipped away with flush cutters.
1.2mm walls, .6 top/bottom, 15% gyroid, No supports
Important printing notes:
- I have only tested these models in PETG and PLA, flexible filaments should work, at least for the glue versions but, at your own risk.
- The repair/wire handles will fit better if printed vertically (wider wire) but the best strength comes from printing them as is.
- The Repair grip models start with ‘Repair’ and the models that fit over the stock handle of most buckets start with 'Over', and end with ‘Magnet’ or ‘Glue’.
- The Repair grip uses 8x the common 6x2 magnets from gridfinity, the Over grip uses smaller 4x3 magnets because of less room, and is therefore not the strongest.
- You can easily snip off the factory handles with the flush cutters that come with every 3d printer, which is why they break after one day in the sun!
- I will be adding more versions that fit less common bucket handles
- I will be adding a Silicone mold version soon, .f3d provided for your experimentation before I release the official model
- v2 Updated diameter or repair models up to 5mm
