So the solution was obvious, let's decorate our pumpkins with the least amount of destruction possible.
This one is for the mouth. I uploaded another piece for the eyes.

Notes:
The design was for a small hokkaido pumpkin. Resize it within your slicer to fit your desired pumpkin... ;-)
Be carefull!
Depending on the filament and the quality of your printer the spikes may not be strong enough. Better use them to mark the holes and then make the holes with e.g. a tooth pick. Otherwise they could break off.
