What is this part for?
This part is for holden the telescope tube into place. Without this part, the two tubes would simply slide in again when vacuuming.
My lower ring was broken after many years and so I have redrawn the part here.
I left out a few small details that didn't add functionality and would have raised the complexity to the print. If this file is desired I will be happy to upload it with all the details.
Print Details
As material I recommend ABS/ASA or similar and with a layer height of 0.1 mm.
Infill: Since the parts are all really thin I recommend here something high or 100%.
Supports are needed as Dyson designed it with short knobs at the bottom.
Installation manual
The installation is needs a few steps but it saves your old Dyson and a lot of money. Please refer to my pictures for the installation process. I have added pictures with numbers for better understanding of the steps. Feel free to write me.
1. At first you need to remove the tip of the tube. This can be done by pushing the little pin with a screwdriver or something hard and sturdy. I used a big flat screwdriver.
2. When the tip is removed you can move the ring to the end of the second tube.
3. Push it against the second tube and push with your fingers the flaps away from the tube.
4. When the new replacement ring is in position put the tip back again and your done. Happy cleaning.
