Requires a 12mm x 3mm magnet. (12mm diameter, 3mm height)

Please print with a higher temp filament like ABS, ASA, or PETG. This will be left in the car and PLA WILL warp at temperatures above 50c (~120f). Yes, your car gets that hot inside under the sun.

While printing, pause the print at the layer before it covers the magnet. Place the magnet with a small piece of masking tape cut to the top of the magnet. This will allow the filament to stick to the magnet better.

Cura has a nice feature that allows you to pause at certain height or layer. Go to Extensions->Post Processing->Modify G-Code then select Pause at Height. I have uploaded an image to help you find it.

For Wanhao Duplicator i3 users you can use the settings I used (picutred). Dont use the M0 setting, use the M25. I printed mine at .1 mm layer height and had it pause at layer 47 and placed the magnet in. I pushed some filament manually out of my printer and pulled away the oozed filament before resuming because the PETG I used was oozing while I placed the magnet in. To resume printing, go onto the printer and under SD Card menu you can select continue printing. I had an issue trying this using octoprint so I had to manually print from the sd card on the printer to get this to work. I suggest testing this out before making a final print.
