Battery died in my Peak spotlight. Battery cost $10 to $15 online plus shipping. This puts out a little more than 6V and it works and hasn't blown a bulb. Simple parts, the batteries help align the two halves and electrical tape them together. The size list for the battery is 1.69 x 1.46 x 2.99 inches. This one is 1 5/8 x 1 ¼ x 2 15/16 inches.
Assembly: strap batteries together while in the case to get the spacing right. Solder wire to other sides and put through holes in top. Work halves together and tape. Add ends of your choice.
