It came to me once in an exam: what if I could eat crayons without eating crayons.

Then it hit me: white chocolate crayons with food colouring. An idea so good, it was edible.

Immediately I went out to buy several packs of crayons, the white chocolate, and food colouring, but something was missing- the mold. Alas, when you search for a “crayon mold” on Google, Amazon, or even Printables/Thingiverse, nobody has an accurate mold of the coveted Crayola Crayon, beloved by marines worldwide. So I took it upon myself to rectify that issue. This is the (amazing) result.

I recommend printing them standing, as you will otherwise get a stepping effect on the inside of the mold. Before you pour the chocolate in, apply some kind of release agent (oil, butter, etc.) to the form, clamp down the two halves with rubber bands (or whatever works best for you). The less viscous the better, as it'll allow the whole form to be adequately filled. If you are making it with colours, make sure you use edible dye.

Wrap them in actual crayon wrappers, and put them in a Crayon Box for best effect.

For printing, you'll need both the A and B models, as they're keyed to ensure alignment.

Oh yeah, it works for fixing wax crayons too I guess.
