Had a problem with a D cell corroding in my flashlight and had to break the light down to clean it. This adapter uses a single 20700 cell to now power the flashlight. I made provisions to also use an 18650 cell instead. I previously made a sleeve adapter for the 18650 to 20700 cell. 18650 Sleeve Adapter to 20700 Lithium Battery Size by JEO | Download free STL model | Printables.com
As for assembly, 20700 just goes right in. 18650 needs the sleeve adapter and possibly a metal strip attached across the negative side if the flashlight spring is too large in diameter to contact the end. The extension uses a piece of wire through the hole provided and wraps around the screws at each end. The screw holes are 5mm up to 12mm depth. If using the 18650 setup use washers or nuts with the screw to extend the extension longer to compensate for the battery adapter recess, if needed. Just snug the screws to prevent breaking the plastic housing.
Nothing special about the settings. Generic PLA, 0.2 layer, 10% infill worked fine for me, 0.8 wall and sides. Definitely tell the weight difference in the flashlight.
