VW Quadlock Phone Mount

This model replaces the Volkswagen “Universal Mobile Phone Preparation” with a Quadlock “MAG Wireless Charging Head” and hides the required cables.

Warning

Cars can get very hot during the summer, so don't print this in PLA, or it will deform. I designed this to be printed in PA-CF.

Required Hardware

• 3 lens head screws M3x6
• 2 original screws previously used to mount the VW “Universal Mobile Phone Preparation”
• 1 Quadlock “MAG Wireless Charging Head”
• 1 Matching power supply with USB-C
• 1 angled USB-C cable for example this one

Installation

I will not give a guide on installation as it will vary from car to car. In general you need to add a powersupply and connect it to “Klemme 15” (power supply that only turns on when the ignition is turned), as to not drain the battery while powered off. I needed to trim the plastic on my USB-C cable a bit to save some space and make it bend more flexible.
