Description:

Here's a little vase I designed called Blossom. I was inspired by organic, generative design when I came up with it.

Included you will find 3 variations with different amount of twist as shown in the preview image. The printed vase in the pictures is the mild twist variant.

Please post your prints. I always love to see something I made in others hands!

Print Information:

You can print it in vase/spiral mode. However I still prefer printing with multiple perimeters for better stability. I set the print to 3 outer perimeters, 5 bottom layer, 0 top layers and 0% infill. I also set the layer start to an inner corner within the vase so it is aligned on just one side and mostly within an inner crease.

If you print with multiple perimeters (3+) I suggest you turn off “ensure vertical thickness” in PrusaSlicer to avoid the strange bits along the slopes on the inside of the vase. //UPDATE on this: Starting with PrusaSlicer 2.6 they removed the ability to turn this off. They improved the algorithm of those extra added perimeters but I don't like that you can't disable it entirely//

Happy printing.
