Simple modification of Zack Freedman's 4x4 gridfinity baseplate to allow for a second vertical row of stacked bins. I think I also took inspiration from audiophil's similar stackable design (it's been a while since I made this thing, so hopefully that's correct).

Includes 1x1 feet that fit snugly into the rims of the lower row of bins, and a low-profile handle that allows users to pick up and move the upper row of bins.

Future improvements that need to be made:

  • Add hollow in bottom-center of frame to fit the handle and allow nth stacked rows
  • Reduce the height of the handle to facilitate nth row stacking described above

I printed this in Black PLA+ 0.2mm at 212° on a Prusa Mini+.  Some supports helpful for the lower portion of the frame, but no supports required for handle.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Added 1x1 feet to the 4x4 version of the baseplate to allow for a second vertical row of stacked bins. Added a low-profile handle to the 4x4 baseplate to allow users to easily lift the stacked row of bins and access those below it.
