When my daughter came to me with the strap on her Crocs flopping around, I knew my 3D printer could save her favorite footwear.

None of the parts need to be printed with supports, rafts, or brims. All files are already properly oriented, and the results of the OpenSCAD output should also always be properly oriented.

The pieces of the original rivet I could find included a washer and a rivet that had a ball joint fitting. This fitting is important as it allows the strap and rivet to rotate without unnecessarily stressing the rivet. I created a copy of the original with a ball-joint, which is the default settings for the OpenSCAD file. However, I've also included a rivet style that will not rotate when connected in case you find that more to your liking for your particular needs.

I chose to print in PETG as it's got just a bit more flex in it. Also, I had some black laying around waiting to fix some shoes.

Assembly isn't too complicated. The washer sits in the space between the shoe and the strap. The female end (strap piece) fits in the hole on the strap and the male end (shoe piece) goes through the inside of the shoe. Push the male end through the inside of the shoe, through the washer, and lock it into place in the female end.
