Printed Shelf Mounting Brackets

Designed this printable wall shelf bracket similar in size and function to the metal shelf brackets available from Ikea.  

Print file and maker file attached are for prints using PLA, which works very well and is more rigid that PETG.  Printing in PETG may offer some other advantages if desired.

I haven't tested for holding strength or load bearing of the shelf.  I suggest using these brackets for lighter projects to start until you have more confidence in their capacity.  In mounting to a wall, being sure the screws are positioned into a wall stud is always a stronger choice.

See the attached pictures that includes one of how the brackets and shelf should be oriented (sort of like bookends above the shelf, rather than brackets beneath the shelf).
