Dragonfly / Skipper Hydrofoil

For Joysways Dragonfly /HK Skipper. This is glued into the bottom of the hull with the back aligned with the step. The actual foil can be clipped in and out, and is held in with two 4M dome head cap screws. There is a hole in from the step so if you do break it off you can clear out the mount. The foil is very durable and can survive the occasional inadvertent grass landing, though it is only recommended for water. If you want to land on grass just unclip it.

This foil lifts the model out of the water at a slow speed allowing much shorter ground run. If your model is battered on the bottom this will greatly improve takeoffs. The first model this was used on could only get air borne if it hit a wave. After the foil was fitted it left the water in a few metres. It should be on the foil in metres then it really accelerates.

High speed taxi is incredible. Set 75% power and let it stay on the water and will scream across the lake leaving a small roaster tail while riding through chop with ease.
