Small compact hotend for Biqu B1 with board moved above hotend. Mount is design for Mosquito Hotend. Silicone sock is recommended to protect the fan ducts.

Additional Modification needed for changes:

  1. Will need to print X-Axis Stop. This will bolt to the stepper motor. Bolts will need to 3mm longer. M5x30 Button head will be needed.
  2. Z stop bolt will need to be longer. Used Hex bolt for larger flat area, optional.
  3. Optional change. Additional M3 bolt holes in frame to hold bottom of hotend down.
  4. Will need to be able to trim all the wires down to fit using wire crip tool. Connectors are JST-XH.
  5. Mount block is deign to be tapped with M6x1.0 tap. I used a tap in a drill press (turned by hand) but a bolt could be used. Make sure tapped hole is straight.
  6. Will need PC4-M6 Bore 4mm fitting. This is the style that 4mm Bowden tube could pass through.

Printed everything out of PETG. Ducts don't need Supports to print. Print thicker walls for heat set inserts.

Uses Heat set inserts for many of the holes. M3x6, M4x4 and, M5x6 Also uses M4 Lock Nuts pressed in hex opens.

Fans are 5015 blower style fans. I used Winsinn 50x15 24V dual ball bearing blower. After modifications fan speed will need to be much lower. Currently use 10 to 20%.

Hotend fans is mounted on the inside to protect the blades.

Add small chamfer to Bowden tube to help fully set into the hotend.

Use longer M3 to mount the new hot end. It can be difficult to start bolts. Don't add hotend mount block until after to help make this easier.

Design has been tested for 1 year and have no issues.

Orientations is not set for printing.
