Lock tab for film roll back cover - Canon EOS 50E

The tab for opening the back cover where the film roll is stored got broken on this Canon EOS 50E. I took it apart to see what was the issue and when I saw the part that needed fixing, I knew I had found a candidate for testing my CAD skills.

So I took on the challenge and decided to recreate the part in Fusion 360 and print it to fix the camera. Glad to see it work again :)

I modified ever so slightly how the spring is connected to this tab, so it can be printed without supports, but it works just as fine as the original version.

Note: you will need to remove a small metal contact from the original tab and glue it to the printed one, so the camera knows the lid is closed, but this will become obvius to you when you open the camera to replace this part.
