This labyrinth is designed with a 3D wrap-around design. Additionally, there are tunnels leading to other sides of the labyrinth adding another dimension of challenge to your maze-solving abilities. Two of these go straight though, and two exit at a 90-degree angle.
The labyrinth is an insert designed to fit inside of a large repurposed pill bottle (133 mm inside depth x 46 mm inside width). The ball is a standard BB (.177 inch or 4.5 mm)
I have included a pdf of a map of the maze with the solution to be used if you get frustrated and need some help.
I printed this in white Overture brand PLA without supports using a standard .4 mm nozzle at Cura slicer's standard .2 mm layer height. A finer layer height may be used to get a smoother roll of the ball.
You could add supports to the outside if you desire. Do NOT use supports on the inside! The inside tunnels are supported with predesigned supports. If you add support material to the inside, you will clog the tunnels making it impossible to get through them.
In order to keep the insert from moving around freely inside the pill bottle, I used a small piece of mounting putty on the bottom. This way, I could remove it if I wanted. You may also glue it in if you are looking for a more permanent assembly. ***Don't forget to insert the BB before inserting it into the bottle!
I hope you enjoy this design. If you do, and are feeling generous, you may click here to Buy Me a Coffee.
Thank you, and have fun being a-mazing!
