The PureWash by Eden Pure is a household appliance that allows a washing machine to use cold water only with little to no detergent and still get clothes just as clean through the use of ozonated water. Link to product (non-affiliated): https://greentechenv.com/products/purewash-pro-x2/
In order for the ozonation process to work, it requires air to pass through a desiccant cartridge. Cartridges typically last several months before needing replacement, and each cartridge costs $30-$40.
The cartridges have a lid that twists off though, so they can be reused by simply removing the desiccant, drying it out (saturated desiccant is pink; dried desiccant is blue), and putting the cartridge back together. Process can be seen here (not my video):
The divider rings in the cartridge I have are made of solid plastic and are tricky to remove without damaging them with how well they are wedged in place. To solve this, I modeled the divider ring up and printed it in TPU to take advantage of its flexible nature while still enabling the ring to have a tight seal when it needs it.
The original rings have a breathable paper material on one side as well. I've glued on some household gauze of similar thickness to mimic this.
Very simple to print. Takes about 20min/ring.
