Flip Top Box Series

Dive into the world of cerebral challenge with this remarkable 3D-printed puzzle collection, desinged by Jordi Gallén.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to masterfully maneuver seven Soma pieces into a deceptively simple-looking box, all beneath a cleverly hinged lid.

But here's where it gets even more exciting – this brain-teasing series isn't just about a single puzzle; it offers a whole spectrum of complexity. With four unique boxes to choose from, numbered #1 through #4, you can tailor the challenge to your skill level. Start with Flip Top Box #1, the perfect introduction for newcomers, and work your way up to Flip Top Box #4, designed to test even the most seasoned solvers.

As part of the Flip Top Boxes Series, each box presents a delightful journey of spatial reasoning, creative problem-solving, and pure fun. And the best part? You can use the same set of Soma pieces in all four boxes, ensuring endless entertainment and mind-bending adventures.

Are you ready to embark on a voyage of intellect, curiosity, and endless excitement? Print, assemble, and unlock the mysteries of the entire Flip Top Boxes Series. Start with #1 and conquer them all! Let the flipping begin!

Additional Information

Solutions: Box #1 is a real brain-teaser with a whopping 12 known solutions, while Box #2 offers two. For those seeking the ultimate challenge, Boxes #3 and #4 each present a single known solution.

Components: No matter which box you choose, the Soma Cube pieces remain the same. The frame can be used for all the boxes, but I uploaded a specific one for #1.

Behind the main body of each box, you'll find two convenient spaces designed to keep your Soma pieces neatly stowed away when not in use.

Hardware: To conquer puzzles #3 and #4, you'll need some extra hardware. For each of these boxes, ensure you have 8 units of ø3x3mm magnets on hand. Be careful during assembly – these magnets should be placed in both the frame and the body, so double-check their orientation before gluing. (See last photo)
