If you need a more mobile trash bin, you can use this adapter to attach wheels to your bin and raise the height, so it is easier to access. For us, we wanted an easy solution to use the bin for support removal without having to pick up the supports from the floor afterwards, because the bin was too small. Now, we can roll the bin to where we need it and thanks to the high height of the bin, the filament always lands in it.
Printing:
This model can be printed without supports, just print 3 of each model.
Assembly:
For the wheels, you can use any wheels, we used some furniture wheels from amazon.
For the bin, you can use any bin, just don't use it for liquids, since you need to drill some holes for the screws.
Screws: m4x12 and m4x50 screws and nuts are used here, but you can use any screw that fits a 5mm hole diameter.
This model is part of a Youtube Video series called “One day, one project”, in which we try to fix a problem in one day with 3d printing (video has german language).
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
