I've been a fan of Keenan Taylor's Tales of Kaimere for a while and had been meaning to make some models for it for a while. I was planing to make the antagonist of the first short story for the first model from Kaimere but a months ago Keenan made a couple species of Owlbears that inhabit a far corner of the world.
I don't have an Owlbear problem... shut up.
The Owlbears of Kaimere are dicynodonts that conveniently evolved to fill niches similar to bears. With the Common Owlbear filling nearly identical niche to American black bears and the Greater Owlbear being larger than any bear of Earth.
Keenan's art is shared on his Deviantart: Greater Owlbear and Common Owlbear
They were introduced in this video on a distant continent far from the focus of the setting so it isn't the best first video to watch.
Kaimere is a fantasy speculative evolution world building project where waves of life are taken from Earth to a Distant planet where they have evolved differently than on Earth. The life Native to Kaimere are microorganisms that are effectively magic and are referred to as such, A large Swarm of this Magic is what harvested life from earth.
If you want in depth ecological world building I recommend watching the Tales of Kaimere YouTube Channel.
If you just want to read well written Fantasy with Dinosaurs I recommend reading the Short Story Anthologies. Barnes & Noble link Individual short stories from the first anthology are also available on Amazon
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
