Hello! This is my entry for the Prusa Replacement Parts contest!

Has your kitchen sink been stuck on sprayer mode? Does the mushy button that normally toggles it not mush and toggle anymore? Do you have a 3D printer? Well do I have a solution for you!

Or, maybe you just want to upgrade your current sink head to include a 2-way switchable faucet and sprayer mode!

This is a mostly all-in-one printable replacement for your kitchen sink head! The only external hardware you need is:

  1. The original 13/16-20 UNEF (19.5mm) adapter that is currently attached to your existing sink head
  2. An O-Ring to seal the valve to the body (22mm diameter, 1mm thick).

This model features some improvements over the original (at least the one I have), such as:

  • Instead of a mushy button, features a 2-way valve to switch between modes!  The valve locks in place with a built-in tab!
  • Built-in aerator for stream mode, printed using overlaid 0.4mm line width for a crisp result! (hint: you should use a 0.4mm printer nozzle)

Printing instructions:

  • Print the body with the nozzle-side down, and the valve with the handle facing up
  • To avoid internal leaks, use at least 4 perimeters, 1.2mm top and bottom layers, and increase your filament extrusion multiplier by 5%
  • I would recommend PETG (example photos are printed in Overture Transparent PETG to try and show off the internal tubing, which didn't really turn out)

This model was created using OnShape, and is publicly available here if you want to modify it to your type of sink! https://cad.onshape.com/documents/6afc0fb707e908f478a5c703/w/ed6ccec8b0e7234ca5bae5e7/e/05a881e002541c591ddb7433?renderMode=6&uiState=6514ca56b40fd67775952752

The specific kitchen sink I have that this is a replacement for is… unknown. There's literally no branding on it, it's just a “generic” faucet. As long as yours has a 13/16-20 adapter, this should work for you! (no guarantees tho)

Disclaimer: I am not a plumber, and you should probably make sure the plastic you're using is food-safe.
