I was backing my fishing boat into the garage, and the sidelight on my trailer lights hit the garage.  This was fatal for the light cover for the sidelights (blinkers) on the trailer light.  I had a replacement (full unit) but decided to print one because it's just a sidelight cover.

Use clear red filament, and get yourself a good first layer on a smooth sheet.   I used PETG, but failed to get a great first layer - which is obvious in my pictures.  However, the shape, and a properly dialed in first layer can get you a nice shiny side light cover.

Use different infills to get a refractive effect.  The model has two areas which works great if your sidelights on your boat trailer also have separate lights for blinkers.  I used different infill and made the center area (blinker) a different infill.  The center is also thinner so that you get better light transmission.

Printing instructions:

Use the clear red filament of your choice.  Set up infill on bottom and top to get interesting refraction.  If you play with internal infill, make sure you are thinking of light transmission - so go with low % and play with infill to get a nice light pattern.

Supports:  Suggest you use snug supports - only the screw hole needs the support to get the strongest screw support.  Once printed, the supports pop out by just sticking a screwdriver through the hole from the first layer side of the print.
