Update: September 26, 2023

This model is intended to be printed specifically for a mini printer. In this regard, you will find two models within the .3mf file.

I want to be transparent; this is a design in progress. Unfortunately, I don't have a Bambu Lab A1 Mini printer. However, I wanted to be among the first to publish a quality model that could be an integral part of this machine. I usually test all the models I publish, but in this case, I lack the means to do so. For this reason, I hope someone can support me in this small project, by printing, testing, and making the final adjustments.

  1. The first, named "2_colors_cutted," allows for the incorporation of a purge tower, enabling a two-color model.
  2. The second, named "1_color_full," is a model that maximizes the print volume possible, but it is designed to be printed using a single color.

Certainly, any of the models can be printed on any printer with a print volume equal to or greater than that of the mini. However, it was specially designed to be accessible to users who acquire the mini as their first or only printer.

Initially, I have two concerns:

  1. Is the height "a" less than the height of the heated bed (60 mm)? Does it avoid any collisions with it in all positions?
  2. Is the height "b" adequate for when the extrusion nozzle reaches its maximum height? Will it need to be raised further to achieve this?

I can't offer much beyond sharing the development credits of the model with the person or people who can support me, and I thank you in advance for all your contributions.

Original model

The original model remains unchanged. Thanks to @LSunround25ya, @elliott.scott.r (from Marker World website), and especially to @ScottHoffman_1046136 f and @SethHolden_1310744 (or sharing their images and comments), the height 'a' is defined at 60 mm, the base area is set at 160 mm x 160 mm (approximately and depending on which of the two models is used). And a second model (XL) is proposed that uses almost the entire usable height of the Bambu Lab A1 Mini.

XL Model

As indicated in the preceding paragraph, this model boasts a height of b = 160 mm, effectively (almost) maximizing the A1 Mini's usable height. It adheres to the printing criteria of the previous version, tailored for A1 Mini printing. One version is tailored for dual-color printing, while the other utilizes nearly the entire heated bed, accommodating single-color printing.

I was uncertain about implementing a model with a narrower top, so I've deferred that consideration for a third review. I extend my gratitude to all who have contributed feedback to this post.
