I bought a 440x440 mm honeycomb worktop for my Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro. It is now much easier and safer to cut out models with the laser.
Since the plate is 22 mm thick, the Ortur Laser Master has to stand higher so that the laser module has enough room to be moved in Z-direction.
Therefore I have constructed 4 special feet for the OLM2 Pro. On the one hand, the laser stands higher. On the other hand, the feet fix the worktop, which can no longer shift unintentionally.
I fixed the 4 feet to the aluminium profiles with a total of eight M5x8 screws and T-nuts.
If necessary, the entire Ortur Laser Master can be screwed to a base plate via the additional holes in the feet.
I constructed the feet in such a way that the zero point of the honeycomb worktop coincides with the zero point of the laser (X/Y axis). However, the X-axis limit switch has to trigger a little earlier for this. For this purpose I created a limit switch trigger.
The trigger also prevents my AirAssist holder from bumping against the left front foot.
I attached the trigger with two M3x6 screws to the top of the laser module carriage using the existing holes.
