Here I have a sliding gate latch for securing field gates. I have 2 horses that I rotate between 4 different fields. I didn't have proper latches for each field and was using lead ropes to secure them. Well, I got tired of that and wanted a better solution. I've seen these types of latches preinstalled on other gate & frame combos, so I decided to emulate that for my gates.
The sliding part is attached to the gate in 2 pieces, which are joined and secured together with M3-12's on each side. Then the loop can just be screwed onto the gate post.
Hope you all enjoy and find this useful.
Edit - I added a V2 which is an updated model for the Gate Lock Slide. Nothing major, just a little more refined/rounded out. Scale to your needs.
