I like printing this at 100 percent infill. This adds decent heft. Add a pause before the holes close. I print this at a .3 mm layer height, and it comes out fine.
(I personally add a few modifications that I think make this a better print:
I added a modifier to the bottom few layers to change the infill to 20 percent. This makes the magnets attract each other more while giving you the heft from the rest of the layers being 100 percent infill.
I created a variable layer hight for the top few layers to be printed at .2/1.5 mm layer hight. This allows the spikes to have a bit more definition without slowing down the print too much.)
The author remixed this model.
I adapted this magnetic fidget to be compatible with 8X3 magnets. I also (a) added a bumpy texture for the surface to give greater tactile feedback, and (b) made the model slightly less tall. This allows greater cliklyness if you are playing with more than one pair of magnets.
