Again, this model was created as a toy. This time for the daughter of a friend. It was supposed to be such a cool puzzle toy, but a puzzle with only one solution? Solved, done and ... nooo ... Pretty lame. Inspired by a wooden toy from my childhood, I created a variant for the 3D printer.
It is a 2D and 3D puzzle game consisting of four cubes, four small L-shaped blocks (2 x 2 cubes) and four large L-shaped blocks (3 x 3 cubes). Various two-dimensional patterns can be created, as well as numerous different variations of a square. The motto is: Be creative.
The base cube has a dimension of 20 x 20 mm.
The little L-shaped block has 40 x 40 mm.
The large L-shaped block is 60 x 60 mm.
Just in case:
This puzzle is not suitable for children under 3 years old.
Since it is a toy and is also designed for children, I recommend you also use 12 different colors for the most fun. For the tray I recommend a neutral color.
Since these are quite simple geometric figures, printing with 0.4 nozzle and 0.2 mm layer height is sufficient for the cubes. For the tablet, even 0.28 mm layer height is sufficient.
However, I would set the infill to at least 25% so that the blocks gain stability and weight.
Assembly
Well, that is the principle of such a puzzle toy. There are no instructions for assembly.
The task is to create a rectangular pattern from all the available bricks, or to build a cuboid from the blocks. You can see two possible solutions in the title picture, but there are dozens more.
Happy puzzles.
