A door bell based on Shelly Blu Button. Made so the whole button can be pressed anywhere to push the Shelly inside.
Needs to be carefully assambled to be nice and tight and work well.
Special care needs to be taken in placing of the counter-padding. The small foam part (on the photos) can be cut from somepackaging foam. It needs to be about 1.5mm thick square of 7mm side. You can experiment a little with the sizes to counter the push pin. It's used to make the whole button pushable.
There is small space in the back to allow using doublesided cushion-tape and still keep it tightly at wall.
There are drying holes at the bottom. In case rain gets inside, it should get out through holes at the bottom.
Assembly:
-------------
- glue the pin in it's in hole button part
- glue counter-pin foam square in the center of the large hole to the button part
- drop the button part to it's place in the body part
- put shelly in there, be sure the button ends up so it faces the pin in the button part
- close it with the cover part, push it as far as it goes
- test the button (hold the cover in place tightly)
- if it doesn't work, check the foam part or the pin (precision is crucial, sandpaper may help)
- push the cover out again and reseal it back with glue
