This is a minimalist charging stand for the Xbox Elite series 2 controller.
This uses the charging dock that comes with the Xbox elite controller.
There are 2 versions of the charging stand - Standard and deep cutout.
The deep cutout version has more room for cable management at the back. This allows for space to insert a right angled USB-C cable or adapter (check the photos for an example).
Mounting the charging dock into the stand can be done with double sided tape, or there are recesses to support 2 10x3mm neodymium magnets.
Sourcing magnets
You will want to use good quality magnets for this as the weaker ones often found on amazon/ebay are not quite strong enough to stop the charger from tipping forward slightly under the controllers weight.
I have found this ebay store reliable for good quality magnets of various sizes and strengths - https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/guysmagnets.
Installing the magnets
The magnets in this stand are interfacing with the magnets within the dock that usually hold the controller to the charger.
The polarity of the magnets is important!*
The easiest way to get the polarity correct is to stick the 2 magnets to the base of the charging dock in the orientation they will be installed in the stand and mark the exposed side with a permanent marker.
Place a small amount of superglue into the recess and stick the magnet from the correct side permanent marker facing down, one side at a time.
Wipe away any excess and let the glue fully dry before inserting the charging dock of the rubber base will be discoloured by the glue.
The pictured prints are made with Polymakers PolyTerra Charcoal Black, on an Ender 3 S1 with a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height.
*I wasn't paying enough attention making the 1st version of this and the charging dock bounces right out the stand as the magnets were installed the wrong way round.
