If you decide to use the settings from the provided 3MF file by selecting “Open as a project” when prompted, please be aware that I am using an MK3 with a 0.6 mm nozzle. If you want to print this with a different nozzle diameter or on a different machine altogether, make sure to set the appropriate printer and layer height in your settings.
A minimal amount of supports is required for the joint. If you selected “Import 3D models only” when opened the 3MF file, you will need to select the “For support enforcers only” option from the “Supports” drop down menu. There is really no need to enable automatic supports for the entire model.
Finally, if you are printing this on an MK3, as it maxes out the bed, please ensure that the “Skirt height” is set to 0 in the print settings.
The author remixed this model.
This is a simple modification of the original cat litter scoop by Gertsen, where the handle was cut and a joint was added for allowing it to be printed on a 210 mm bed like the one featured by the Original Prusa MK3. The modification was done directly in PrusaSlicer by utilizing the “Cut”, “Add part…” and “Add negative volume” features.
