Yet another easy printable and usable mask.

(---- Notice ----)

Why will I not design this mask for printing in PLA or PETG?!

I get quite a few requests to convert this design for printing in PLA or PETG. Sorry, but I am not going to do that, and this is why:
In my experience, PLA and PETG are TOO DANGEROUS to put on your face. If a PLA or PETG mask cracks, especially when printed as a light weight/thin wall, it will cut your face like a knife. It may not be happen on the first day, but it will happen one day, maybe while you are talking, and it will be sudden. Thin walled PLA and PETG will fatigue much faster than TPU, being washed, dragged and pulled in daily use. Maybe something hits your mask while you are wearing it, and it splits or shatters.

Let's see poor Kevin in the following videos:
For Part 1 in PLA please go here: https://youtu.be/ErP28uP4mVI
For Part 2 in PLA please go here: https://youtu.be/LlN01EW9ORI
For Part 3 in ABS please go here : https://youtu.be/feWsPd2XUFU
For Part 4 in PET-G please go here : https://youtu.be/k-KhRx73NxU

That is why I don't want to convert this design to use PLA/PETG. It is for your safety.

(--- DISCLAIMER ---)
Print and use it at your own risk.

Uses up to 2mm thickness Ply Filter. Mask weight 20gram.

I made this for the community, for the time being the shortage of surgical mask, due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus.

[The Italian opensourcemask team not only repost my design everywhere and also provide wrong instruction to use it. I don't want to bother with that so I'm now updating the STL to make it universal to almost any head circumference. Hope one day that team will remove their reposted of my design and the incorrect instruction and stop misleading people.]

Read my PROFILE page if you want to redistribute my design materials to others, for free or for commercial.

Personally I prefer the latest release Flexible Mask Valvy

Good Luck everyone and my loves.

STL size based on 58cm head circumference. (Refer to photo of T800 for measurement)
Just scale in slicer on XY by 1/58*[your figure] .

Welcome comments and suggestions.

Ultimate Challenge!! Print on cloth.

(Picture from my other thing - Flexible Mask Valvy. You may need to pre-cut the cloth for the air vent area first. My setting, 1st layer: bed temperature 85, filament 245, half speed. Other layers: bed temp 0, filament and speed resume normal. If using thick fabric, eg, 1.2mm, you will need to offset by "G92 Z1.2" somewhere after G28(home). But you can't pre-cut the cloth for air vent now. Please share yours setting.)

-Other Tools:

-Needle and thread

-Filter ply

-Hair dryer or heatgun.

Notes:

-Use any filter you trust. Personally I use 6ply of 3M Filtreteā„¢ (Air Cleaning Filter - Ultra Allergen Reduction)

-May try odourless anti-bacterial wet wipes as filter. (dry. dehydrated before cut & use)

-Use a hair dryer to change the sizing slightly. Annealing can sink the size of cap a little bit.(that is the beauty of flexible material.)

-Write your name on the left rectangle of the mask.

FAQ and Tips:

-Level the bed well. Avoid elephant foot or you won't get the needle holes.

-Avoid moisturized filament which result in porous structure.

-Rivet needs raft support.

-Trim or heatgun the mask for fitting.

-Add more Rivet to air tight.

-Use multi strand thread to fill the needle holes.
