I designed this case for a couple of reasons the first being that all of the other cases for the orange pi 5 plus that I found felt and printed very thin and with my printer using a 0.6mm nozzle I often ended up with weak walls. So the walls of this case are much thicker (2.75mm I think). I also built this because I wanted a case that fit more like some of the raspberry pi cases with top and bottom shells that screw together with notched out areas for the ports (similar to this case for example https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3714695). This makes it really easy to just drop the orange pi into the case rather than trying to bend the case to pop the connectors through the holes and potentially break something.

The mounting holes are designed to allow direct screwing for m3 screws however this has been designed for my printer so you may need to use heat set brass inserts (or if you would like, the design file has been provided and you can modify as needed for your printer).

You will need

4 m3x18mm screws

4 m3x6mm screws

8 m3 brass inserts (optional)

Notes:

This was designed for my printer which uses a 0.6mm nozzle. A 0.4mm nozzle should work just fine but the holes may be oversized and need a heat set brass insert or slight changes to the design files (included).
