was strugling to find a simple yet effective way to mount a fan to my g90 for digital modes, so decided to make my own very simple and low profile mount adds only the fan thickness, to the radio and 1-2mm more fitment is very very tight depending on printer calibration light sanding, or fileing may be required on the teeth to get it to slide on
required parts to complete
file or sand paper (fine fitment adjustment)
m4 countersink bolts and appropreate nuts 10mm-12mm
tools to remove head unit from the radio
installation
modify fan as appropreate add voltage regulator to step down 13.8v to 12v, (my fan runs fine at 13.8v milage may vary) then install countersunk m4 screws through the print on the countersunk side, and through the fan and top with a nut be careful not to over tighten, do this both for the left and right side of the fan, then u can remove head unit from g90 or rear metal wings, and line up and slide down the heatsink fins with the slots in the print, and slide sown onto the radio to desired location light sanding and filing may be required, to get the desired fitment and hot glue or outher methods, could be use to fix it in place if friction is not enough then re assemble radio and wire in fan to power source
