Compatibility:

This does not work with the current 2.0 Lynx file set. This only works with the 2.1 file set posted in the Orion Blasters Discord server.

Why is this a thing?

I had issues with the mag release included in the 2.1 file set for the Orion Blasters Lynx. I've kept the same style of a two piece release that comes apart on it's own during blaster maintenance, but unless you do disassemble the blaster it will not come apart under normal usage.

The release itself has two versions, one is textured and one is not. The texturing is only really cosmetic, it doesn't help grip or anything.

The nub has two versions, one has an undercut and one doesn't. I was having some issues dropping mags and I added that feature as an attempt to fix it. I don't think it worsens anything so I'd print that version unless there's a specific reason you don't want to.

Some nub print advice:

In the attached photos, there's a screenshot of the nub with a highlighted blue face. If you have good bed adhesion I would recommend printing it on that face and seeing how that works. I found that printing on that face made mag insertions smoother. Unfortunately printing in that orientation will need supports on the tabs that engage with the release. It will also be a bit weaker because of the layer lines, so before you run any games give your mag a good tug just to make sure it's holding. While the release itself should be fine in any filament, I wouldn't print the nub in anything known to be brittle, such as silk filaments.

Let me know how it works for you! I've only gotten positive feedback from people so far, but if any issues arise I want to hear.
