This manual cheese grater had its glorious days on the 90's, made by Argentinian brand Moulinex. The mechanical metal parts were still completely functional, as well as the top plastic part containing them along with the handle. This top part is made on a sturdy plastic (very likely ABS), but the recipient for the cheese was shattered since the transparent plastic didn't resist years of pressure applied from the top while grating. So I designed a replacement for that recipient, although not transparent, but firm enough to allow many more years of usage to my mom's beloved cheese grater (she got is as a birthday's gift). I decided to make the contour flat, instead of curvy, in order to allow better pressure distribution to the bottom. In order to keep recipient strong and as food safe as possible, I printed it on PETG. In regards of food safety, it's worth to mention this recipient is meant to receive the cheese as it is grated, and not to permanently store it. I also added 5 grips on the bottom, printed on TPU to avoid slip. I include the Sketchup model, in case someone wants to adapt the design for their own grater.
