Dacia Duster 2018 parcel shelf/trunk cover cord washers

Replacement washer for the cords for the parcel shelf/trunk cover of a Dacia Duster 2018+. 

The factory rubber bar thing is not very well made and easily falls out, it is basically a rubber cross bar that you slide over a knot in the end of the cord. Replicating this was not a good idea. Instead this is a replacement hard washer. This is the design that Dacia should have used.

This washer is sized so that the cord should fit through, but with a knot it should not slip through. The hole is slightly oval as the cord is also oval.

Printing instructions

Print in PETG or another high temperature material (PLA is not suitable for cars, gets too hot in the summer and it will deform).

I printed this with 0.6 mm nozzle using PrusaSlicer and the Arachne perimeter generator. Some tweaking may be needed if using 0.4 mm nozzle.

Installation

1. Pull cord through the hole in the shelf and the washer.
2. Tie a large knot so that it doesn't slip through the hole.
3. Throw the factory part in recycling/trash (make sure to follow local regulations).
