This is useful for providing slime mold to small invertebrates that eat it. You put some slime-covered oats in the capsule, screw on the lid, and place the feeder in the deli cup. The slime mold can escape out of very small gaps around the bottom of the capsule, while the fungal mold that starts growing on the oats mostly stays contained within the capsule.

I use this for feeding slime mold to a couple of species of springtails. Currently Neanura muscorum and Vitronura giselae. I use it with a thickness of about 11-12mm of plaster in the bottom of a 4oz deli cup. (~20g of plaster, before mixing with water)

This requires supports – organic supports work really well. I print it out of PLA at .2mm layer height.
