Snap-lock pin for the screw together gridfinity baseplate by Kyle Warren.

Itself Based on ZackFreedman design.

Kyle himself describes his baseplate as “overkill”, and while I love the model, I don't quite need the rigidity of screws; I only need enough to keep the plates together if I want to slide/move them around and don't have them populated yet.

This pin is designed to fit through any hole on the screw-together baseplate, connecting two baseplates together. Pin length allows a little “slop” in the mating of two baseplates, but this is to accommodate tolerance variances from printer to printer; scaling down allows the pin to fit where holes might be tighter without making them too short. The extra pin length also allows a small flathead to fit behind the cap to “pop” them out, but YMMV.

Five pins (alternating direction) connect two 6x5 baseplate with enough strength to suspend an unopened wine bottle (pictured). That's all the testing i felt like doing :P
