This is my shot at an enclosure for the Prusa XL. All information needed is in the manual file provided under the files tab. Make sure to read trough the manual once before you start assembling. This will prevent work that has to be redone =)
Additional info:
- Needs about 2,2kg of filament to be printed
- Price for the panels on plattenzuschnitt24.de (not affiliated) is about 180€ (PLEXIGLAS® XT 4mm with lasered edges)
- Now available files for 9mm screw head or with 10mm screw head (which is more typical one according to DIN912 or ISO4762)
Possible upgrades to this enclosure are:
Edit 1: Manual updated, as panel sizes were fractions of mm for better tolerances. Unfortunately this makes it quite hard to order the panels, therefore changed to full mm values.
Edit2: Finished my built and did some smaller updates to parts, to make assembly easier. For changes, see last chapter in the manual (which has been updated, too).
Edit3: Added step files for easier remixing
Edit4: There are now 2 different model files: Original one for screws with 9mm screw head and new ones for 10mm screw head (which is according to DIN912 or ISO4762) and the more typical one available. Make sure to use the right combination of screws with 3D printed parts (only difference is screwhead diameter).
Updated manual to reflect those changes.
Edit4: Updated the instruction manual (only change is correcting a typo, now mentioning the correct magnet size of “10x2mm” instead of "x2mm"
Edit5: Updated Cover_Door_Hinge_Fixation_2x_V1.2 to allow the cover door to open up completely and lay flat on top of the cover (thanks to michaelaswood for the hint!)
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
