This is my first model posted so please give me some discount on any possible mistakes! :D

Here is why I did the model.
More than 35 years ago my parents offered me a LIMA train set.
Some of my earliest memories are from me and my parents palying in our living room with my model train...
"Unfortunatly" when my brother was born, him and my cousin destroyed it almost... I religiously saved the parts and some time ago found them on my parents attic.
In less than 2 seconds a light flashed in my head saying "my 3D printer was taylored preciselly for this kind of chalange".
I went on internet and actually found that the parts from my old train set could still be found from collectors and online stores. So not only I engaged on the task to rebuild my train set from the ashes by aquiring the parts, as well to recover the old ones.... and why not build brand new ones from scratch!!! So now the "Hype Train" has arrived to my house! 🤣🤣🤣

This project is based on the 1964 LIMA coal wagon.

Print instructions

The model is composed of the several parts printed in PLA on a 0,2mm layer height.
I broke the print into several parts to have a good compomise between getting the relevant details printed but to avoid a lot of small suport building. Also because the wagon has only 4 colors I tried also to print them in a way to paint them individually. Of couse the parts can be printed on the final colors using the the right filament colors and avoid the paint part.
I did it like this because at the moment I I dont have the PLA colours to do it, also was a good excuse to try my new aerograph and compressor! :D

For those interested in paintng I used the fallowing Revell Enamel colours:
Base structure and Couplings - Black SM 302
Wood Floor- Brown MATT 37
Hopper Support and lever- Grey SM 378
Hopper - Red 31

I used 2 pieces of 1mm thick stainless steel plates between the case structure and the wood floor parts to add balast as the original wagon from LIMA and glue them wth contact glue.
The base plate hopper support was glued to the wood floor using Revell Contacta Professional 39604 glue.

FInally the metal wheels used can be aquiered online for H0 scale. In this case the ones used are 24,4mm lenght on the shaft and the wheel flange diameter is 11,5mm and 14.5mm.
