This lamp fits perfectly between the mounts of the MMU, but you can use it although standalone. It's a way simpler design as the recommended one from prusa, but does not light up the entire printing area, like the original. You have a massive shadow underneath the extruder.
Keep in mind to use the proper voltage for your printer (24/12V) or use a step down circuit. I soldered it to the power cable of my MMU. You can otherwise run two wires down to the PSU. I have not attached a switch to it, so in my case its lit as soon i turn my printer on.
I used PETG for my print, but its works perfectly with PLA, too. The diffusor should be transparent, just in case ;-)
