In building an enclosure for my printer, I used 2x2's for the vertical supports (actual dimensions 1-½"x1-½"). The original hinge is a great design, and to make it fit I extended it to fit over these wider vertical supports.
Printing
The hinge models are oriented to be placed on the right side of the door. If you need left hinges, flip/mirror both parts of the model on the X axis in your slicer.
Notes
The attachment holes are sized for M4 bolts. I use M4 bolts for my enclosure door, and SAE #6 screws for the fixed half on my wood frame.
Original Model Description
Door hinge for 3D printer enclosure.
It uses M4 bolts.
Overall height is 50mm.
I designed it for 6mm or 1/4" material.
The hinge is snug but not tight and the door is removable. Make sure there are no plastic zits inside the hole and around the pin to avoid binding. If it's too tight you can use a bit of lithium grease or sand the pin slightly.
Happy printing!
The author remixed this model.
I lengthened the hinge front to fit a 1-½" face frame, and added countersink holes to the fixed hinge half.
