This is a fully parametric model for capping the end of a hockey stick with a knob. Parameters that can be changed include: shaft dimensions, knob thickness, cap thickness, corner roundedness, and whether to have a vent hole to equalize air pressure during installation.

Use with hockey stick grip tape or wrap (i.e. Lizard Skins).

Slicing instructions

  • 0.2mm
  • 4 walls, 4 top layers, 4 bottom layers
  • 50%+ infill (gyroid recommended)
  • No supports needed
  • TPU filament recommended

The included STL files are for a knob that is 3mm thick and 12.7mm tall with a 2.6mm cap thickness. I used my kid's Bauer VAPOR HYPERLITE 2 Youth stick as a reference. The measured shaft dimensions are 26.7mm x 18.4mm. Please see the customization instructions below for your own hockey stick.
