I originally printed the genius design collaboration between wbphelps and golekipro. wbphelps designed the “base” model (heavily remixed from the original model by Dlarsen) and golekipro incorporated the option to use the HugoHuge "Filler" spool holder https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3020026 (which is an awesome design in itself!)
The only issue i had was that the ptfe tube guide was way too short and the spool of filament would end up unraveling off of the spool while printing creating a mess of tangles when trying to respool.
I took to TinkerCAD (for the first time!) and modified the ptfe tube guide to stick out further to around the middle of the spool. I don't know the exact measurements because the method I used to achieve this was probably not correct, however, this modification seems to have worked well and I no longer have any issues while using the system.
*I've tested this on both my X1C and P1S with no issues.
*Please keep in mind this is the FIRST time I've used any CAD software (TinkerCAD at that, haha) so it may not be pretty and stylish, but it seems to print well and works fine.
The author remixed this model.
Extruded filament ptfe tube guide arm to better position it to the middle of a spool of filament.
