In the world of 3D printing, innovation often takes the form of practical solutions. That's precisely what this 3D-printed hose clamp replacement part is intended as. While it doesn't claim to be revolutionary, it does offer something valuable—a design that mimics the functionality of real-world hose clamps. Surprisingly, such examples of this nature are scarce on platforms like printables.com and elsewhere.
The current prototype demonstrates effective functionality, but I believe in thorough iterative testing to ensure its reliability across various scenarios and maximum effectiveness. Therefore, further testing is currently underway to fine-tune and optimize its performance.
To give the space needed for refinement, I've temporarily disabled the remix option. My ultimate intention is to share this design freely with the 3D printing community, with no strings attached except for one simple request – shared attribution. I'm committed to the collaborative spirit that makes the 3D printing world so vibrant and innovative.
Stay tuned for updates as I continue to enhance and share this unique 3D-printed hose clamp replacement part with the community. I'm excited to see how it might be used in various creative projects and applications, and I'm dedicated to ensuring its dependability through thorough testing.
In the meantime, your assistance in testing the current state of the design would be greatly appreciated. Real-world user feedback is invaluable for refining the design further. I'm eager to learn how it performs with different filaments and in various printing conditions, as this input will undoubtedly contribute to its ongoing improvement.
Assembly: The screw pushes into the base/holder and snaps in for a secure fit.
Printing instructions: I printed this in PLA at 0.2mm layer height. For the screw I printed in the orientation as shown on the .3mf file; being horizontal and using supports, as this helped me achieve the best thread possible.
Note: In its current form it will secure a diameter of 2.1". I designed it to max out my print build area on my Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro.
