I recently got back into Warhammer 40k after a 10 year hiatus and found out that all of my Space Wolves were on much too small of bases. I also decided I wanted to magnetize the bases. And finally, I recently learned to use Onshape and didn't want to build a base by sculpting it, and instead opted to build it in a software program. So I present to you my first foray into building miniature bases. This is a 32mm base, with a hole in the bottom that should fit a 10x2mm magnet perfectly.
I printed it with a color swap right at the point where the ice parts start forming and then gave it all a wash. I also printed it on an FDM printer, but this may look a lot better if you print it in resin. I kind of liked the idea of seeing the layers of ice.
If people end up liking it, maybe I will create some more! Let me know what you think!
