I originally downloaded 4 sets of the Universal Spool Adapters from Humebeam, but then realized that they're too wide with most of the Polymaker cardboard spools I have. That led me to design my Cardboard Spool Rims found here: https://www.printables.com/model/562271-cardboard-spool-rim-polyterra-polylite-universal
Although the design above worked for me, I wondered if I could do a combo of mine and Humbeams and came up with what you see here. My remixed design is 4mm slimmer and will fit in both the standard AMS and Hydra AMS. The diameter is 202mm. There is also no need for center rings with this version since it stays centered on it's own.
To install them, first place the spool onto the bottom half and push down around the edges to snap it into place.
Then place the top half on and screw it on. Hold the edge and spin the top half on all the way until the center is tight enough (don't worry about the sides at this point) and then walk your hand around and snap the sides on.
To remove, gently lift up on the edges and move your finger around gently, when you can grab enough, unscrew it.
I printed these in Bambu Studio using the default .2mm layer height Strong profile.
The author remixed this model.
Instead of resting on the outside of the spool, this remixed version snaps onto the sides and completely covers the cardboard.
